These terms apply when you use the Chargespot website at chargespot.app and the Chargespot app. By using either, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Chargespot.
Who we are
Chargespot is a product of Charge23 Labs Private Limited (CIN U29304DL2023PTC419198), a company incorporated in India, with its registered office at H. No. 190, Ground Floor, Baba Farid Puri, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi, Delhi 110008, India. "We", "us" and "our" mean Charge23 Labs Private Limited. "You" means the person using Chargespot.
The service
Chargespot helps electric-vehicle drivers plan trips, find charging stations, keep a history of their charging, and understand their vehicle. Some features use information you add, such as your vehicle, and some use an OBD adapter you choose to connect.
Chargespot is in a private beta. Access to the app is by invitation, and joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee an invitation. Features may be added, changed or removed during the beta.
Your account
- You sign in with your phone number or email through Charge23 Accounts, the sign-in service shared by Charge23 products. Keep access to your phone and email secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Give accurate information, including about your vehicle. Only add a vehicle registration you are entitled to use.
- Chargespot is meant for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, please don't use it.
- You can delete your Chargespot account at any time, in the app or through our account deletion page.
Estimates and others' data
Range, battery, charging-time, cost and arrival figures are estimates. They depend on your vehicle, its condition, the weather, traffic, your driving and information we can't check. Treat them as a guide and keep a margin.
Charging stations are run by independent operators. Station locations, connectors, prices, opening hours and live availability come from operators, public sources and other drivers, and can be wrong or out of date. We don't guarantee that a charger will be available, working or priced as shown.
Vehicle specifications come from manufacturers and public sources and may contain errors. Maps use OpenStreetMap data.
Charging and payments
When you charge, you charge with the operator, on the operator's terms and prices. Where Chargespot lets you start or pay for a session through a wallet you hold with an operator, the payment is made with that operator; we don't hold your money. Questions about a session's charge or refund are settled with the operator, and we will help you raise them.
Plans and pricing
Chargespot is free during the beta. The plans on our pricing page, including Pro, are not on sale yet. Before any paid plan opens, we will show its price, what it includes, how it renews and how to cancel, and you will only be charged if you choose to buy it. Refunds are covered by our refund policy and, for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, by their policies too.
Driving safely
Follow the road, traffic signs and the law, not only the app. Don't handle your phone while driving; set your route before you leave or let a passenger use the app. Directions can be wrong or out of date.
Your content
Reviews, check-ins, photos and reports you add stay yours. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, show and use them to run and improve Chargespot, including showing them to other drivers. Only add content you have the right to share, and don't include people's faces, vehicle registrations or personal details. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use Chargespot to harm others;
- post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise unlawful under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules;
- copy, scrape or bulk-download station, vehicle or other data, or use it to build a competing service;
- interfere with, probe or overload our systems, or get around limits or security;
- use someone else's account, vehicle or wallet without permission.
Our content and open data
The Chargespot name, logo, design, software and content belong to us or our licensors. You may use the website and app for your own, non-commercial use. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License, and other sources are credited where they appear.
The beta, and changes
Chargespot is provided as it is during the beta, and may sometimes be unavailable or make mistakes. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by charging operators, vehicles, third-party data or events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Chargespot in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under Indian law that can't be limited.
If you break these terms or the law and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses from it.
Ending your use
You can stop using Chargespot and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is required by law, and we will tell you why where we can.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them or about Chargespot. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to resolve it.
