Refund Policy

At Chargespot, we strive to ensure that our services are clear, fair, and transparent. We understand that sometimes circumstances change, leading to a need to cancel a booking. Below is our refund policy, which stands in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and other applicable Indian laws.

This policy applies to all users of our services, including customers, hosts, and other third parties.

By using our services, you agree to the terms of this refund policy.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your booking at any time before the scheduled booking time. However, please note that you will not be eligible for a refund if you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before the scheduled booking time.

If you cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking time, you will be eligible for a full refund. The refund will be credited to the original method of payment, unless otherwise specified and agreed upon.

Issues with Charging Station Operation

In the event that a charging station does not operate correctly during your booking, Chargespot will make every reasonable effort to assist you. However, the provision of refunds in such a case will depend on the policies of the individual charging station operator and their ability to refund the amount to Chargespot.

We will act as an intermediary to communicate your concerns to the operator and will support you in seeking a refund or compensation, where applicable. Nonetheless, Chargespot's ability to secure a refund is contingent upon the charging station operator's terms and conditions, and therefore, we cannot guarantee a refund in every instance.

We recommend that our users report any issues with charging station operation immediately to enable us to address the matter swiftly. Please provide as much detail as possible about the nature of the problem, including photos or videos if available, to:

Refund Eligibility

A refund for the booking of a charging station may be requested under the following conditions:

  • The cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking time.
  • The charging station was unavailable or non-operational at the time of your booking.
  • You have been inadvertently charged more than once for the same booking.

If you are eligible for a refund, we will process it within 14 working days.

Upon receiving your refund request, we will verify its validity and process it within 14 working days. The refund will be credited to the original method of payment, unless otherwise specified and agreed upon.

Non-refundable Circumstances

The following circumstances generally fall outside the scope of our refund policy:

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled booking time.
  • No-shows at the time of the booking.
  • Partial refunds for partial use of the charging station.

Chargespot reserves the right to refuse a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, breach of our terms and conditions, or other manipulative behavior leading to the booking.
